1) Calling for Applications  

The Diplomacy Training Program (DTP) and partners are calling for applications for a Pacific regional capacity building program for civil society on Business, Human Rights and the SDGs in the Pacific to be held in Fiji from April 30 – May 5, 2018.

This 5-day regional program will build the knowledge, skills and capacities of community advocates to protect and promote human rights and sustainable development in the Pacific. It will build knowledge of international human rights standards and mechanisms that can be applied and integrated into effective advocacy strategies. It will build practical skills for engaging with governments and business. Participants will learn from each other, share knowledge and build practical solidarity networks.  

Trainers on the program will include Professor Surya Deva, member of the UN Working Group on Business and Human Rights as well as other leading experts and practitioners.

2) Calling for Applications 

The Diplomacy Training Program (DTP) and JOAS are calling for applications for a regional capacity building program on Indigenous Peoples, Human Rights and Partnerships for Sustainable Development to be held in Malaysia in April 04-13, 2018.

This program will build the knowledge and skills of human rights defenders and Indigenous Peoples’ advocates to promote and protect human rights in the context of rapid economic development and the impact of the private sector on the lands and livelihoods of Indigenous Peoples and others. The program will build knowledge of international human rights standards and mechanisms that can be applied and integrated into effective advocacy strategies. This 10-day regional program will build practical skills for engaging with governments and business. Participants will learn from each other, share knowledge and build practical solidarity networks.
