Noor Ayesha, originally from Bangladesh is currently the Provincial Coordinator with Plan International, and she also works as a United Nations volunteer as a Provincial Coordinator of a civil registration project – including registering the birth of children. Noor assists the Cambodian government’s civil registration office in leading the ‘Mobile National Civil Registration Project’ in
Rattankiri, a remote province of Cambodia. Most of the population here is made up of Indigenous peoples, and she has been advocating in this area to ensure human rights for all. She coordinates cooperation between the government and local NGO’s for the smooth dissemination of information, and promotes awareness of the benefits of registration of a child upon birth. Noor conducts trainings for staff so that they can learn civil registration procedures and further disseminate this information, and she monitors the registration processes in action by travelling to over nine districts within Cambodia.
