Prabir Biswas works as the Coordinator of the Bangladeshi Ovibashi Mohila Sramik Association (BOMSA). Prabir plans and develops strategies to protect migrant workers’ rights, including strategic/connectional adaptation and capacity development programs for the staff both locally and nationally. He is directly involved in pre-decision meetings, awareness meetings, counselling, case management, advocacy programs and the documentation of violations of migrants’ labour rights. He also works developing the ‘Annual Report on Migration in Bangladesh’, which involves constant contact with field workers and target groups throughout the entire migration program. Prabir believes, by undertaking the DTP program he can improve his knowledge of migrant worker rights and advocacy skills. By participating in the forum, Prabir hopes to share his knowledge and skills in the area, as well as collaborating and developing support networks on migrant workers’ rights.
